Summary Of the play:In this traditional play of Karagöz, in the first part Hacivat comes to the stage singing and calls his friend Karagöz down for a chat They have a small fight between each other. After the starting diologue between Karagöz and Hacivat the main subject takes place Both being unemployed and deserted by their wives, Karagöz and Hacivat decide to work as boatmen. They hire out a boat to those who want to cross from one side of Kağıthane river to the other ... They encounter various difficulties and funny episodes with their customers... At the end they earn some money and they take their wives to the enjoyments that take place in Kağıthane river. The ending part of the play is with enjoyment and before the entertainment began varied pedlars pass in front of the screen selling their wares. The play ends happily with music and black sea folk dancers, ballerina ,efeler and belly dancers.
