This is a tour to the western part of Bursa city. The our begins with the beutiful lake of Apollonia, a very old settlement area which dates back to the 7.century BC at the side of Apollonia-Uluabat lake. The area is infact called Apollonia or Apulyonot et Ryndacus in the ancient times and Apollonia Et Pyndacum in Roman times. Today the village on the island is called Gölyazı and the lake is named Uluabat lake. The present ruins that can be seen in the village are thought to be from 1.century BC. Later on Greeks and Turks lived in the same area. After our visit to the lake we start driving more to the west and then we take the road to Mudanya heading to north in the direction of Marmara sea. We pass through nice farmlands and olive trees. We arrive in olive groving and fishing town Trilye which is a village near the seaside and with beautiful architecture and houses... You can still see the Greek Churches and ruins from ancient times in various streets of the small town...we may have lunch here near the seaside with fresh wish and tasting the olive oil of the town. After trilye we will visit Sigi-Kumyaka on our way to Mudanya town. Sigi is as beutiful as Trilye and worth to visit in order to see the nice houses and the old orthodox church. Our trip will end in Mudanya one of the biggest towns and the ports in the marmara shore of Bursa.
